Meet Joseph W. Booth

Joseph W. Booth is nationally recognized for his work in complex family law and appeals and is one of a small number of attorneys in Kansas who is a Fellow of both the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and the International Academy of Family Lawyers (retired). He has served as a Judge Pro Tem in the Johnson County District Court and has extensive experience representing clients in high-stakes divorce, custody, and interstate jurisdiction matters.

In addition to his trial practice, Joseph is a frequent lecturer to attorneys and judges across the country, an adjunct professor of family law at Washburn University School of Law, and a published author on advanced family law and appellate topics. Other law firms regularly consult with him for strategy in complex litigation and appeals.

His approach to advocacy is grounded in careful analysis, strategic positioning, and the art of persuasion — with a focus on achieving durable resolutions that protect clients’ long-term financial and parental interests.
